  • Dr. Karen Kuhel

    Dr. Karen Kuhel is an Associate Professor of TESOL in the Department of Inclusive Education at Kennesaw State University (KSU). She has a MATESOL from American University in Washington, DC and a Ph.D. in teacher education from The University of Florida. Dr. Kuhel has taught, designed, and administered programs for English learners in the United States and Brazil. At KSU she served as TESOL Graduate Program Coordinator from 2005-2010 and was lead on development of the three graduate TESOL programs. She continues to collaborate with colleagues in surrounding school districts and across the college of education and university in the areas of ESOL and culturally and linguistically responsive teaching for all P-12 students.

  • Belinda P. Edwards

    Belinda P. Edwards is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at KSU. As Secondary Mathematics Education Program Coordinator, Dr. Edwards also instructs and supervises prospective secondary mathematics teachers in the application of curricular issues, learning theories, teaching strategies, instructional materials, and assessment procedures for teaching middle and high school mathematics. Her research focus is on teacher beliefs, students’ affective mathematical behavior, and students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics.

    Adrian Epps received his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Clark-Atlanta University and B.A. degree in Chemistry and M.Ed. degree in Science Education from Emory University. His primary responsibility is to support programming to recruit, retain, and prepare secondary science and mathematics teachers. Prior to coming to KSU, he was Director of Mathematics and Science Initiatives for the Atlanta Public School (APS) System where he implemented several grants from the National Science Foundation. Some of his roles included Project Director of the Atlanta Systemic Initiative; Regional Co-PI and P-12 Coordinator for the BOR PRISM grant, and District Coordinator for the Emory University Science Center NSF GK-12 grant. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Office of Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, the Professional Development Department, Informational Services Division, and high school science teacher in APS.
